ProFresh is an additive for

General Information:

• ProFresh is used in LDPE and HDPE film manufacturing for packaging material, to store fresh fruits, vegetables, grains, flowers, bread and more. PE films with ProFresh master-batch keep freshness, prolongue shelf life and eliminate bad odor.


• ProFresh is an absorbent active additive with LDPE carrier. It absorbs ethylene gas (being responsible for post harvest ripening), ethylalcohol, ethyl acetate, ammonia and hydrogen sulfide.


• ProFresh delays the effects of deterioration of fresh products. The suggested quantity of ProFresh master-batch is 5-20% depending on application. Optimal results for fresh keeping films can be achieved with an addition of 10%.


• ProFresh can be fully integrated into your production - no further changes are needed. It can be applied both in mono- or multilayer films, physical properties of the films will not change. (note: transparency slightly decreases)


• ProFresh is non toxic and does not contain heavy metals. ProFresh meets all requirements of the Austrian Food Law (§ 30.2./1075), German BGVV recommendations III (polyethylene) and LII (filling materials for consumer goods made of plastics) aswell as the regulations of the FDA (USA).


• ProFresh safety instructions are identical with that of normal polyethylene resins. Safety Data Sheet according to the Regulation 91/155/EEC is available on request.


• ProFresh is packed in special multilayer, aluminum lined bags of 25kgs. Storeage in dry, non sun exposed place is recommended.


• ProFresh master-batch must not contact other chemicals or gases due to its absorbent characteristics. We recommend to close once opened bags carefully.


• ProFresh can be stored in undamaged bags for minimum one year.


• Films or other packaging materials containing ProFresh have to be recycled like normal polyethylene products.
